What makes it special?
This portable Bluetooth speaker design began after disassembling an existing Bluetooth speaker and reusing the internal parts in a new design.
This redesigned speaker achieves high-quality 360-degree sound from a single downwards-facing driver. This improves bass response as the surface the speaker is placed on will vibrate and radiate sound. The sealed cavity in the speaker is also much larger than the original design, helping with volume and clarity.
Exploded views - Designed for Injection Moulding
Designed with the purpose of injection moulding, there were many challenges to overcome when coming up with an elegant solution for this spherical-shaped speaker. Intelligent positioning and layering of parts meant that it was able to be assembled easily like a sandwich with the bolts holding multiple pieces together at once.
